Firstly, I’m delighted to report that after months of preparation, my Teaching Module with the Chrysalis Effect on Trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE’s) for Practitioners (or anyone interested), is finished!
Scotland has become the first UK nation to become ACE-aware in schools, caring and health services*. I’m keen that we all become aware of how our biography becomes our biology. Many people are unaware that childhood experience changes the
physiology of the body to become more sensitised to threat and inflammatory. And, as you may know, inflammation is at the heart of most chronic diseases like Alzheimer’s, Arthritis, Heart Disease, Diabetes and even Cancer.
So, it’s a really important understanding to know how you can tackle these unconscious drivers of health and wellbeing. Check out my introductory FREE webinar on Monday 10th December – sign up here.
I’ve been busy recording the audio version of The Scar that won’t Heal – which proved to be a mammoth task far outweighing any other project I have ever done. Over 250 hours of work so far and hoping to be finished and uploaded to Audible (and i-tunes) by January 2019 – a full year after I started! I hope it will be worth it to all those audiobook lovers out there. As I write this I have just 10 pages of edits to finish (approx. 10 hour more). It will be amazing to complete it but I’m not sure I’ll ever tackle anything so large again..
My third book Losing our Minds: a cellular view of health is nearly complete and hoping to be published early 2019. I’m looking at the metabolic processes that underlie health and disease – focussing in particular on Alzheimer’s and Cancer as diseases of ageing. Sadly this has had to take a back seat to the audio recording as my sound engineer will not be able to continue into 2019 as he has managed to get a film composing commission (his real passion).
TALKS and PRESENTATIONS
Here I am presenting a talk on the Adverse Childhood Experience and Psychosocial Wellbeing for a group in Salisbury in October. The audio is available free on my website and below on this page and the video presentation for a small fee on my shop page.
I am hoping to increase the range and quality of downloadable talks as I do more, so keep a lookout on my website and Alchemy facebook page.
October saw a rejigging of my work-life balance as it seems I’ve been working too hard!! So, I’ve changed my working days now to Mon pm, Tues, Fri and Saturday am so I have time off in the week for writing and relaxation (that doesn’t seem to have happened yet!) So, new office hours and a re-designed website with a shop facility and some important tweaks to make your experience easier to navigate. See my updated leaflet on my website for details of clinic arrangement and my charges.

Well that’s all for now, it just remains for me to wish you all, clients and supporters, a Happy Christmas to you all
